Class Description

Medication Administration is the process of safely and accurately giving medications to another person. During this course, you will learn and develop the skills required for proper medication administration, ensuring that you provide safe and accurate medication administration for your clients. This program consists of 56 hours of lecture/classroom learning and 24 hours of clinical on-site training and will provide you with the tools and skills you need to be a confident and competent medication aide in long-term care or assisted living.

Registration requires the prerequisites listed below:

  • Background check
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED
  • Proof of working as a full-time CNA for the last 365 days, uninterrupted, at no more than two facilities
